Well it has finally come the time to bite the bullet and air this slag out 
So tomorrow I'll be purchasing the Air Lift v2 Management 3/8 lines with 5 gallon tank 
Going to cost me best part of a grand but I've managed to source a way of getting the dogs danglies air set up for super cheap  
and that's not compromising on quality.
Luckily the other half is a trained mechanic and has fitted his own air set up so he'll fit it with me (hopefully teach me)
We have a spare 5 gallon tank so I'll be doing a dual tank set up.
Super excited so more progress coming soon

What struts are you going for?

yes yes :p i have indeed just got the v2 management... just trying to source struts and bags from somewhere now
taking piss though i've found two people selling and they're just a nightmare to contact
one is in n.ireland and the other in in s.wales but the guy in s.wales is umming and arring about selling it :/

Are they airlift struts your looking at? I've got rayvern and wish I'd bit the bullet and went airlift or bagyard or something a bit better than rayvern

Looks like i'll be ordering airrex struts and bags today as well which should take a couple weeks to be made up and delivered.
So in the mean time I best get started on the install and pull the sewing machine out  :wub:

change of plan the airrex struts won't be suitable as the bags won't sit far above the wheels enough  
luckily i've found a second hand (practically new) rayvern kit so that's being paid for in the morning and hoping for it all to be here by end of the week so I may even have air fitted for vw festival

Well it all turned up yesterday and I felt sick the state it arrived in! The tanks are scratched to fuck, one of the bags is slightly worn, the fittings are rusted and he had literally just thrown it all in a box with no care at all. Now i'm going to have to get the air tanks resprayed and probably order a new rear back which is going to cost me a couple hundred to sort. Not happy at all especially when i paid over 900 to get them and have them delivered -_-

Well guys it finally came! The time that little red got bagged 
Major kudos to my other half who put in the hours to get her dumped, I managed to get hold of replacement rear bags through jon at JH Pro Paint in Sheffield last week, which meant we had everything we needed.
Some of you may have seen her at vw festival at the weekend but for those of you who didn't, here she is


Next job is to get chassis notch either side, wheels redrilled so that i can tuck rim, new top mounts needed and drop links to be replaced because they were shagged! Boot build will be getting done over winter too. Hope you all like

Just had my acceptance email for inside the hanger at players show so i'm pretty hyped up about my car now! Can't believe it. Although not sure how i've managed it because i'd say there were nicer cars around :S

Wheels have now been sent off for new colours and ceramic polished nuts and lips. Centres are changing colour but not completely decided just yet so will update once they're done
Picked up some ferrari seats and the rear bench is getting dropped off for trimming this week

wheels stripped down and ready for ceramic polish the lips and spray the centres, unsure wether to sandwich mount them or not though....
