Yeah just gonna be running the steels no trims.. Gonna be using the G60 centre caps i think though

Last couple days I've been having a play with some carbon fibre style vinyl, and tbf it didn't go too badly. so far I've only wrapped my door pillars, but i'm contemplating having a go on some of the interior plastics.

Also I thought i'd share the progress pics on my wheels so far..

To start with they were a little rough




Then after a good clean they didn't look so bad



Let the sanding begin

That's all so far, plus sorry about the lack of photos of the wheels.. But ill have plenty more once they're done

You heading to spring dub?

I have been thinking about making the trip, but tbh i don't know much info about it.. Are you?

So just did a proper check on spring dub and turns out i'd have a 138 mile drive, which will take about 2 and a half hours.. i doubt i'd be able to make the convoy but I'm seriously contemplating coming now

the carbon wrap stuff looks ok ( as in general not your work that looks good) but youll get sick of it very wasy i did plus try remember not to get carried away as its very wasy to do lol suits the lupo and the wheels looking sweet

You dot have to convoy haha especially if your that far out haha I'm not and I'm in bansley. You should do man it'll be cool to meet up with everyone

Do you know there G60 steels?

When you said just steels on here, I thought just normal ones not G60's lol

That's what I'm running with rare wheel trims and spacers to get the arch as close as I dare to the tyre.

There 14" Mark not 15" his came off a passat and some golfs but there not g60s, there sometime known as baby g60s!

Same thing there just a size smaller


Like lupo or Arosa, same everthing but front end

No g60s are 15"!!!! Not saying the 14" aren't good, as we all know about Adams arosa that was sporting them!

I'm not filling this poor guys thread up but the oringnals are 14" then came 15"

Nah Mark i never realised they were G60s, as Cal said I've only heard them being called baby G60s. Ohh i never knew you were on the same, i thought yours were Audi pepper-pots? Ahh i'm planning on getting some spacers to do the exact same job

Are you.. That's not too far, yeah we should do one of the days.. Would be good.


One last thing to end on, i have no clue whether the original G60s were 14'' or 15'' so i'm gonna have to hold my hands up and leave you guys to fight it out :p

Been a little while since i been on, but tbf not a lot has happened to benji but i have had a little play with an idea i had. As it happened i found an old broken indicator panel in my garage so decided to experiment with a bit of home smoothing, it's not perfect but not bad for a first attempt..

Then i gave him a well deserved clean



And then had an accident with a sticker.. Although i never realized till i took the picture haha




That's all for now guys, unfortunately though i'm still out of work and insurance is up in a couple weeks so progress has pretty much stopped for now and probs for a little while.. But i'm aiming to hopefully have something sorted in time to take a trip to early edition.

Yeah i've had the idea for a while, and now after seeing how well it turned out ill be ordering a new panel when i can and then smooth the holes

Not on a usable panel.. the one in the photo is an old panel off my first lupo which is snapped in half, i used it to have a practice on.. Buuut i will be smoothing out the indicators on a panel i can use soon
