advice needed about next car to buy

Alright guys!

well i've got a 2004 Renault Megane 1.5 DCi

i was going to spend some money on it and a few mods but i thought i would rather have something else to mod, something abit nippier and worth it

my mates just got a 2003 audi a3 which has shit all over my parade as something like that would have been ideal!

i've looked at megane 225's but megane's have some weird ways and some silly problems

i'm thinking of about £4000 maximum to spend, would love a audi a4 but the older shape i'm not a massive fan of and the newer shape is too expensive

anyways guys any suggestions?

Don't get a Megane 225, my mate had one & a wheel bearing went after about 1000 miles. tbf he's a racing driver so it got a fair bit of stick but it's a sport edition it should be able to take it

4k will get you a decent Mk4 Golf GTI or GT TDI, or even a higher mileage Mk5.

mk5 would be nice... or it'll get you a tip top 6n2 polo gti...
