PostSubject: Loans for cars   Loans for cars Icon_minitimeMon May 13, 2013 10:20 pm

Basically my credit is absolutely fking shite, and my lasses aint much better. Now im looking at a 1 series beemer and im finding them around 4k mark. You think if i applied for finance under my missus' name and paid 2k upfront or something am i more likely to get accepted for the finance on one?
Could probably afford to pay around 2.5k up front roughly and still have money spare for bills etc etc. Just wondering if this is gunna be the best way to do it?

Advice anyboooooody

Think your gonna find it hard to get credit at a decent rate.. Have a quick look on money supermarket and they will do a rough check and it will give you an idea of what sort of interest and repayments you will be making.
Theres a difference between bad credit rating ie missing payments etc. and no credit rating. if you only looking at a vouple of grand could you not use a credit card and then pay off what you have spare each month?

Cars are not worth getting into debt for.

If either of you don't have a phone contract, get one! They help massively to build up your credit rating.
Then get a credit card and use it instead of your debit card, then pay it off at the end of the month.
There are even companies that specialise in credit cards to help build up your credit rating.

I had a bad rating but I got a phone contract out in my name and an overdraft, dip into the overdraft every now and then and that sorted mine out!

I used to have the opinion of cars aren't worth getting into debt but I don't regret getting a car on finance at all!
