| Copied from my thread on UK MKIVS so if its mixed up I apologise Hi, I've decided to start my own. Don't be expecting anything extravagant as I usually forget to take pictures when I add things to my car or forget when I've done them and add them all at once, as I did with previous cars. So... The car Its a 2.0 3dr GTi on a V plate in Indigo Blue with A8s I dont have any pictures of when I first got the car but it had been reversed through the clearance bin at Halfords as it had chrome mirror covers, eyelids and front LED strips which came on with the ignition. So my first mod was to take them all off! with that done I didnt do much really. I washed Glenda last week and she came out looking lovely Although I have found some stone chips on the car which I need to sort so i've got a scratch repair kit on its way to see what the colour match is first before i tackle them. I have fitted some Team Heko Wind Deflectors aswell but no pictures. Also did some interior modding on the door handle surrounds and ashtray cover Suede, wins. I am in the process of replacing the silver stick on vinyl from the previous owners. I'm looking at either wrapping it in suede to continue the effect or some net optic trim but Im unsure at the moment. Anyway future plans are lowering on some coilovers and just general tidy up, I like to keep things clean and suttle. | |

Alloys will be staying for now as i've got other purchases to sort first. I've been looking at some Porsche Twists but they are expensive even for some reps!. | |

| I shall have to find out. I'm also looking at BMW x5 alloys aswell but they are quite wide so will probably need some arch work doing | |

| So it's been a while since this was updated and well.....nothing's happened. Haven't even washed it since the 16th February as every time I went to it would either rain or start to snow:( Anyway I went to pick up some 10mm spacers of off big deano today(thanks mate) while chatting he told me about some things he has planned which I look forward to seeing. Tried fitting the spacers when I got home but I couldn't get it on properly so I'm going to try again later when I have more time. Seen as it was sunny(ish) I washed it again and safe to say it took two full buckets of Megs nxt gen wash to clean it but then it started to snow so couldn't get it waxed:( hopefully might get our with the quick detailer later. Also borrowed a paint pen from a mate at work and did this To Just waiting for it to dry before doing a few more costs so that its all nice and shiny. Once the weather gets better ill do the one on the boot as well. That's all for now. Thanks Jord | |

| Looking good fella, I know what u mean about washing your car! I only wash mine at weekends now as there's way to much salt on the roads! Plus this weather is making my paint even worse than it was

| I've just been out and have it a coat of Megs quick detailer just as a protection before i can wax it and I think I'm going to have to wash it again as its still filthy! I need to get it 2000grit sanded at some point as the rear quarters full of scratches. More money | |

| So I got the spacers fitted later on today and my rear wheels went from this To this So you can't really tell with a picture but in person you can I think they sit better in the arch. Thanks Jord | |

| I know, especially with golfs having quite deep arches in the first place. Should look better once lower aswell. | |

| So this week I've been doing some interior changes. To start I rang up my local vw dealer and ordered some parts for the modification Part number 3B2 959 565 C01 C Part number 3B2 837 114 E2A Q If anyone guesses correctly then 10 brownie points to them. However when I picked them up and got them home I seen that they had given me the wrong one so rang them and they no longer supply the part I wanted. ohhno! Not to worry as I had one lined up as a backup so it's all good. Went and got it and also got a connector as they arent from a golf. And then set about wiring it up. Bit fiddly with the shrink wrap sticking my fingers together but in the end this is the finished product. Old To this And this Just need to put it al back together now and ill get more pics tomorrow. Thanks for looking Jord | |

| So this is the what my mirror switch looks like now. Looks a lot better. Just debating whether to turn the chrome handles into brushed ali ones like the ones on the r32. Not sure yet. Thanks for looking Jord | |

| Thanks mate. Since I've put it all back together I've been out and sanded the door handles to take away the chrome look and more of a brushed aluminium look. Not perfect but it best paying the cost for some original vw aluminium trim. | |

| So I washed the car on Thursday night and it was still clean(ish) today so put some fresh batteries in my camera and went out and searched for a couple of spots to take some pictures. They aren't the best locations and I'm not the best photographer and my paintwork is quite bad compared to some on here so please no hate. Here's a few that I took. 1st location 2nd Location And theses are a few I've been playing about with I know it needs lows, I am waiting currently saving and waiting for pay day before I purchase some coilovers. I need to get to know some people so that theres more than 1 car in the shot. Anyway thanks for looking Jord | |
