Think my plan for tomorrow is to add some 9.5mm spacers to rear which will take it to ET15.5. unsure how it will sit but im just gunna have a look on one side and see how it sits

So today I got the fabia serviced. Cost me £38 for the bits and my mate done it for me while I machine polished his new van. So firstly I'll say the service has made the car feel a little more responsive however its still idling between 600-1100 revs and I need to figure out what it could be. Need to do the timing belt as I have no idea when it was last done. I was going to remove and paint the engine cover yesterday but I will need to do it when I don't need to use the car as the oil cap fits onto the actual engine cover not the top of the engine.

Very nice, my MK1 ticked over at that speed and i couldn't work it out, when you work it out let me know cos even tho i dont have it any more i'd like to know what it would of been

Plus it would be helpful if mellow doe's it

Okay so today I was a tad bored so had a quick dig through my used aerosol cans and found I had some silver, a little primer and a full clear coat tin so decided to do a quick respray on the wheels. It's not a perfect job by a long shot but it gives me an idea of what to do over the winter a they will be getting a proper job in the winter while I'm running trims and steelies.

Wheel refurb looks mint and the cheapest and easiest place to start with the idle issue is the throttle body, throttle body/carb cleaner is only a couple of quid and 9/10 times that's the issue with normally asperated petrol vags

Same place as the larosa. The engine cover that was pulled off for the service will have a small length of tube coming out underneath, that will go into your throttle body will show you at the next meet if you don't get round to it by then

Okay so today was the day for painting the engine cover. Pretty happy how it turned out.

i like it , got a quite a smooth engine bay in the fabia

Lids done red but probably going to do them Matt black and I'm also doing the dipstick black too

This bay's getting proper tasty, could do with a new coolant bottle though

I know. im gunna have a go at cleaning the one thats in first. I got plenty of time to get one before show season next year!
