| As far as im aware mate its fairly safe. Always better if u can get smaller springs made/bought but i have cut coils without any problems | |

| if its the backs he is going to cut then he may have a few problems because both ends of the springs are coned.. meaning they wont sit rite (could possibly cut botttom as it has a larger seating area) and if he hast got means of securing them properly then they will just fall out over bumps.... cable ties wont do the job of securing because more than likely the springs wouldnt sit rite meaning when he goes over bumps the spring will probablies slip out of place and not sit in the stop at the top, again leading to him losing his springs. | |
